Problems related to the spine are some of the most common in our daily lives. Disc herniation and disc protrusion are the most common, with osteochondroses, listhesis, scoliosis and other conditions also seen.
As for treatment, usually conservative care is enough to relieve symptoms. Conservative treatment usually includes physiotherapy, a home exercise programme, keeping activity within tolerable limits, pain medication and, if necessary, painkilling injections (when prescribed by a neurologist). It is extremely rare to require surgical intervention to treat low back pain.
In addition to pain reduction, success in treating degenerative intervertebral disc disease is measured by the patient’s ability to perform activities of daily living – walking, standing, sitting and lifting objects – without pain, as well as leading a normal social life.
Our methodology is entirely based on conservative treatment, and we have some of the best devices for pain treatment. Our specialists have completed numerous international courses in this field.
Traction system (couch)
We have one of the best traction systems for the treatment of disc herniations, protrusions and other pathologies of the spine. Our device is of the latest generation and is one of the few of this class in Bulgaria. Spinal traction therapy is a safe and effective method that helps restore the spine to its natural (uncompressed) state.
Stretching treatment is among the most effective methods for dealing with compression syndromes and injuries, and has an excellent healing effect for osteochondrosis as well. The system can be applied to different areas of the spine, including the cervical spine.
